Does the Stock Market Matter in Ghana? A Granger-Causality Analysis

Lack of long-term investment capital is the major constraint to market growth and development in Ghana. This problem, however, is not restricted to Ghana alone; it is common throughout Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) and has been traced to the underdevelopment of capital markets, such as stock and security markets, and financial institutions that serve capital markets.
